General Description
Nestling in a verdant green valley, close to the spa town of Bagni di Lucca (7km), these two stone cottages, which are always let as a whole, are full of country charm. Surrounded by leafy woods, the houses look over an expanse of manicured lawn which in turn leads down to the babbling brook that runs past the grounds. The stream offers the chance to paddle and swim in rock pools although there is the private swimming pool, neatly bordered with stone paving. The two cottages, set 10 metres apart, have been decorated in an appealing country style, using floral and lace fabrics with painted wood furniture. Local marble has been used in the kitchens to good effect and each house is well equipped. A spacious stone terrace acts as a link between the two; bordered by flowers with an impressive wood oven, it is the perfect spot for dining outside.
Amenities can be found in Fornoli (4km), with Bagni di Lucca offering a choice of restaurants by the river. The numerous walks found in the area will appeal to nature lovers and for those who enjoy horse riding, a short drive (2km) brings you to a riding school where you can take lessons or enjoy a day out on horseback through the beautiful countryside. For those who seek some city life and culture, one of Tuscany's most enchanting cities, Lucca, is only 30km away, whilst Florence is easily accessible by train or car for a day trip.
